Hi magical basics!
Happy March! So much has happened since our last episode, I celebrated Mardi Gras in Louisiana with my family and my sister got married! If you haven’t listened to my sister’s episode, be sure to check it out, we talk all about her Disney engagement.
We have a couple of news stories this week starting with more mask updates. Disneyland Paris (who just celebrated their 30th anniversary last week) no longer requires guests to wear masks in their parks. They are encouraging still wearing them during parades and fireworks shows, but they are no longer mandatory. They are still requiring vaccine passes for guests 16 and up and health passes for guests 12-15.
Disney Cruise Line has announced that starting March 11th masks are optional at most of their indoor locations. This change only qualifies for ships who originated at a US based port. The theatre is one of the main indoor locations that masks are still mandatory.
Last week we got a small look into the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride in EPCOT.
Flower & Garden Festival has officially arrived at EPCOT. I’m so excited because this is my favorite festival of the year. The new merch and food items look so delicious so stayed tuned for more content from us about the festival. If you are wanting to catch the festival this year, it will be running from March 2- July 4.
Spaceship Earth got a new light show for the new festival. The Rainbow Connection show for FOTA was such a big hit that they’ve created a new show for F&G. Spaceship Earth will have a short projection display each night that’s inspired by the movie! And during the display, “Colors of the Wind” will be playing.
A new restaurant is opening this month in Disney Springs. Local Atlanta Green will showcase culture, hip hop, and fresh healthy greens while catering to vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian guests. Disney has not yet specified a specific date for this restaurant opening or if it will be a brick and mortar or food truck.
And the last story of the broadcast, the 2022 dates of Swan and Dolphin Food & wine has been announced. The Food & Wine Classic will take place between Friday, November 11th, and Saturday, November 12th, 2022. The event runs from 5:30-9PM on both days.
Now it’s time for this week’s chat with Ly Anne for LocalLyAnne. I’m so excited for her to share her favorite local Orlando spots with us. Be sure to follow her on Instagram and if you like this episode give it a rate and review. See you next week! Until then basics, stay magical ❤️
