Hi magical basics!
Sorry for the lack of an episode these last two weeks. Our schedule has been getting crazy, but let’s discuss the news of the last few weeks, shall we?
Let’s start in Walt Disney World, you can now get married in the France Pavilion in EPCOT! This is such an exciting addition to Disney weddings. The new location will be in front of the Ratatouille ride and is called “Place de Remy”. So now I know where Jon and I are renewing our vows! Lol
Look out there is another Mickey meet and greet! You can now pop into Red Carpet Dreams in Hollywood Studios and spend some time with Sorcerer Mickey!
New showtimes have been announced for the Festival of Fantasy parade. The parade will return on March 9th and will run at 11:30am and 2:30pm.
You can now vacation in a galaxy far far away. Check out everything new in WDW’s Galactic Starcruiser during the press weekend.
Moving across to California, it was announced last week that the Disneyland trams will be returning on February 23rd! They will be servicing both parking garages to Disneyland and California Adventure. Another exciting thing returning is Soarin’ Over California! It is returning for a limited run and will open on March 4th.
The Main Street Electrical Parade is returning to Disneyland, and it was just announced that it will have some new editions! There will be a new grand finale to the parade that will include a dozen new Disney and Pixar characters including Encanto!
Let’s talk Disney+ now. A very exciting announcement was made last week about the original series “Obi-Wan Kenobi”. The show will debut on May 25th other than this date and Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor both reprising their original roles we have no other news on the show… and we’re DYING to know more details. Storyliving by Disney will be the newest way to fil your life with a little extra magic. These will be new magical neighborhoods will include themed spaces and amenities and world-renowned service that the company is known for. No more details have been released yet.
Final piece of news, but the biggest of the week… Universal Orlando, Disneyland, AND WDW has lifted their mask mandates for indoor and outdoor locations. Disney properties are still requiring them for transportation, but this is huge!
